Tricia’s comprehensive finance background, together with her restructuring and insolvency expertise, enables her to provide innovative solutions to her client’s problems and effectively structure transactions from the outset. She continually works to foster relationships with her clients and colleagues by taking a collaborative approach to her work.

Tricia is a banking and finance specialist with over 20 years of experience focussing on project, property, acquisition and corporate finance. She has played a leading role in many complex financing transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers.

Throughout her career, Tricia has led numerous large-scale transactions and has developed strong relationships with top-tier financial institutions including, ANZ, NAB, CBA, Westpac, Standard Chartered, JP Morgan, Sumitomo and HSBC. She has also acted extensively for borrowers and sponsors and as a result, has a thorough understanding of the key drivers for both banks and borrowers and can quickly identify solutions that meet the commercial objectives of all stakeholders.

Alongside her banking and finance background, Tricia also has extensive restructuring and insolvency experience, enabling her to deliberately leverage her distinct skillset to anticipate the key commercial drivers and appropriately structure transactions to mitigate insolvency and associated risks.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Tricia worked in the Banking and Finance team at Clayton Utz.

  • Advised the financiers to the IFM/AustralianSuper consortium acquisition of the Ausgrid business in NSW (A$16.2billion).
  • Advised the financiers providing corporate finance facilities to the BlueScope Group ($1.2 billion).
  • Advised Toll Limited and Asciano Limited in relation to the financing of the original demerger of Asciano Limited (A$5.2 billion).
  • Advised the financiers providing construction and project finance facilities for the construction and operation of Marvel Stadium, Docklands and the subsequent restructuring of those facilities.
  • Advised The AustralAsia Railway Corporation of the Northern Territory and South Australian governments in respect of the financing aspects of the Adelaide to Darwin Railway and the subsequent restructuring of the debt and equity funding for the project.
  • Advised Pacific Asia Group in its capacity as debt financier in relation to development finance facilities for mixed use developments in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and has advised numerous PAG funds (Special Situations and Loan Funds) in obtaining finance (on a bilateral and syndicated basis) in the Australian market for their Australian operations.
  • Advised the financiers in numerous property finance projects for residential and commercial developments including the St James Apartments and Boulevard projects in St Kilda Road, Melbourne, the Republic Tower development in Queen Street, Melbourne, the Citygate and University Place developments, the Centurion, Yarra Crest and Southpark developments in Southgate, Melbourne, the Menzies Malvern Retirement Village Development in Malvern, Victoria, the Liberty Place development in Castlereagh Street Sydney and the Bourke Junction development in Docklands, Melbourne.
  • Advised borrowers and lenders on a range of corporate finance facilities including for Myer Pty Ltd, HRL Limited, Pacific National, Toll Group Limited, Mayne Group Limited, AWB Limited, The Gandel Group, Pasminco, Flinders Power, Exact Mining, the Delta Group, TeleChoice, Probuild, Hall & Prior, Japara, Regis Aged Care, Sapphire Group, Spotlight Group and La Trobe University.
