Hamilton Locke advises Maas on the successful completion of two asphalt business transactions with the COLAS Australia Group

Hamilton Locke is pleased to have advised Maas Group Holdings Limited (via its subsidiaries) (Maas) on the successful completion of a transaction involving two asphalt businesses with COLAS Australia Group Pty Ltd (COLAS).

Maas acquired COLAS’s hot-mix asphalt business in Tomago, New South Wales by way of an asset purchase and entered into a strategic 50/50 joint venture with COLAS which will own and operate a hot-mix asphalt business in Caloundra, Queensland.

Hamilton Locke assisted on all legal aspects of the transaction including due diligence, transaction documents for the acquisition and joint venture, and negotiating a full suite of ancillary contracts across its corporate, real estate and competition practice groups.
