Kathryn is an experienced corporate lawyer who approaches her work with a pragmatic and commercial lens.  She values attention to detail and achieving consistent and desirable outcomes for clients.

Kathryn specialises in a broad range of corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, buy-backs, joint ventures, restructures, and general corporate advisory.  She has advised ASX listed and private companies across a broad range of industries including media, technology and retail.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Kathryn worked for Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

  • Acted for Orora Limited on the sale of its Australian and New Zealand wine closures business to Interpack Pty Ltd.
  • Acted for Basketball Australia on its agreement to sell a majority stake in the Women’s National Basketball League to the Wollemi Capital Group Syndicate and the National Basketball League.
  • Acted for GP staking fund, Scarcity Partners, on its acquisition of minority stakes in Privity Credit (formerly Dinimus) and Singapore based January Capital.
  • Advised CO2 Australia on the takeover offer received from Avatar Industries.
  • Advised the founders of MyConnect on the sale of the company to Origin.
  • Advised Southern Cross Media Group on its $170 million placement and accelerated entitlement offer.
  • Advised Southern Cross Media Group on the $55 million sale of its television assets and operations in Northern New South Wales to Win Television Network.
  • Advised EBOS on the $2 billion merger of its Chemmart retail pharmacy business with Terry White Group Limited, and its subsequent acquisition of Terry White Group Limited by way of scheme of arrangement.
  • Advised REA on its acquisition of Hometrack Australia for $130 million.
  • Advised BP Australia on the divestment of its bitumen business to Puma Energy.
  • Advised Australian Business Growth Fund on its investment in INSKIN COSMEDICS.
