Hamilton Locke has advised the shareholders of Seven Consulting on the sale of the business to Sia, a global consulting firm. Hamilton Locke worked alongside the team at Latimer Partners to help achieve a successful result for our clients.
Since its establishment in 2002, Seven Consulting has built a strong reputation for delivering complex transformation and large-scale programmes for major Australian organisations. The firm provides project, programme and change management services, combining experienced delivery professionals with technology-enabled solutions to support clients across complex programmes and portfolios.
Sia is a global management consulting firm with expertise spanning strategy, technology, data and AI. Established in 1999, the firm has grown to approximately 3,000 employees across 20 countries and 50 offices, serving more than 1,000 clients globally. Backed by Blackstone following its minority investment in 2024, Sia has continued to expand its international footprint and pursue strategic M&A opportunities.
The acquisition strengthens Sia’s presence in Australia, bringing its combined Australian team to approximately 130 consultants across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Together, Seven Consulting and Sia are well positioned to support Australian organisations as they move from AI experimentation towards enterprise-scale transformation.
The Hamilton Locke team was led by Partner Gaynor Tracey and closely supported by Senior Associate Jack Crawford and Lawyer Christine An.
