With an array of international and domestic experience, Peter specialises in banking and finance transactions relating to project and infrastructure finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, real property finance, corporate finance and restructuring and insolvency.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Peter worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia, Baker & McKenzie in Australia and Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc. in Africa as part of the global banking and finance group.

Peter is admitted to practice in Kenya but is not admitted to practice in Australia.

  • Assisted in advising an ASX-listed entity on the leveraged acquisition of the assets of another ASX-listed entity.
  • Assisted in advising a multinational commodities company on the financing aspects of its acquisition of an ASX listed entity via scheme of arrangement.
  • Assisted in drafting and negotiating loan note subscription documents and security agreements for an alternative asset manager to finance property developments in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
  • Assisted in advising on the refinancing of a wind power farm in Victoria.
  • Assisted in advising on the financing of a greenfield solar farm in Queensland.
  • Assisted in advising on the financing of a metals processing project in Queensland.
  • Assisted a consumer goods business with security arrangements for customers, including preparing a suite of security documents and drafting an enforcement memo.
  • Assisted in advising a renewable energy developer on a proposed JV under a Joint Development Agreement.
  • Assisted a renewable energy sponsor on a sale process for a portfolio of solar farms, including preparing finance sections of a vendor Due Diligence Report.
  • Assisted in advising on the amendment of a syndicated facility for a coal mining company.
  • Assisted on the financial diligence for the proposed sale of an 88MW solar power station.
