As a finance lawyer with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear manner, Lauren also has a very enthusiastic approach to her work, which, in combination, enables her to work accurately and efficiently in highly pressured situations. Lauren’s commercial approach is highly valued by our clients, who trust her to achieve the best outcome in any given situation.

Lauren has extensive experience undertaking all manner of debt finance transactions. These include asset finance, vendor finance, property finance, corporate lending and leveraged and acquisition finance. Lauren has acted for financial institutions, as well as corporate clients, both locally and internationally.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Lauren worked at Gilbert + Tobin in Sydney. She also worked for leading South African firm, ENS Africa in Johannesburg.

  • Acted for a credit fund in relation to the senior secured funding raised to fund Click Frenzy’s acquisition of GrabOne.
  • Acted for Partners For Growth in relation to the senior secured facility raised to fund Limitless Technology’s acquisition of the online flower delivery business LVLY.
  • Acted for Epsilon Direct Lending on the senior secured debt facility provided to Somnomed Limited, the parent company of a multinational group that is headquartered in Australia and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
  • Acting for MA Financial Group (formerly Moelis Australia) on the senior secured financing provided by an Australian bank to fund the acquisition of the Beach Hotel, Byron Bay, the Courthouse and Kinselas Hotels, the All Seasons Resort Hotel and the Hotel Brunswick.
  • Acting for EdventureCo in relation to a senior secured term and revolving facilities provided by Epsilon Direct Lending and HSBC to fund bolt-on acquisitions and working capital requirements.
  • Acted for Alquemie Group in relation to the senior secured facility provided by an Australian bank to fund acquisition of Australian fashion retailer General Pants.
