As our New Energy lead, Matt is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about emerging technologies – and committed to a more sustainable future. With his work on over 200 projects as well as his active involvement in industry events and conferences, Matt has truly set himself apart as one of the sector’s most tenacious and innovative dealmakers.
In 2023, Matt advised on numerous high-profile deals such as the sale of the Hay Plains Wind Project and Ardandra Solar Project to Octopus Investments, the partnership of Enel Green Power Australia with QEM Limited to deliver the Julia Creek renewables project and Birdwood Energy’s $2 Billion Distributed Energy Partnership with Aware Super.
His work extends to advising MA Growth Ventures on its growth capital facility into Upstream Energy, guiding the sale of three development projects to global funds, and managing the installation of solar/battery systems across 100 stores in Australia.
Matt’s dedication to excellence, strategic insights, and innovative approach have made a significant impact in the industry. His ability to structure, draft, negotiate, and execute deals effectively has been instrumental in achieving these successful outcomes for his clients.
