Hamilton Locke is proud to establish the Community and Pro Bono Program with a genuine focus on addressing social and community issues. The Community and Pro Bono program comprises of 2 distinct branches, with the Community Program focusing on hands-on support for the cause, while the Pro Bono program focuses on advice in support of the organisation.
We have chosen to partner with Youth Insearch under the Community umbrella, and The Hunger Project under the Pro Bono umbrella. Not only will we be directly involved in the work of the causes, we will raise awareness of what Youth Insearch and The Hunger Project do. Each of the organisations have an incredible impact on their respective communities and Hamilton Locke is very excited to be involved in advancing their efforts.
Youth Insearch
Youth Insearch helps young people aged 14 to 20, who have had challenging experiences, whether it be grief, addiction, sexual assault or domestic violence. Youth Insearch focuses on building self-esteem and eradicating self-doubt through weekend workshops and weekly support groups. During these sessions, the young people share their experiences with peers and support adults, participate in trust-building exercises and undergo counselling and mentorship. Hamilton Locke, Emerson and Spiique members will be acting as support adults at the weekend workshops, providing career and life advice and hosting leadership and communication sessions. The Hunger Project (“THP”)
The ultimate goal of THP is to end world hunger by 2030. THP shifts mindsets of individuals, so that they are empowered to build and run sustainable projects within their community, whether it may be a school or a business, for example. THP provides resources, such as education, microfinancing and health facilities, to enable men, women and children and their projects to flourish, ultimately allowing them to break the cycle of poverty themselves. THP operates in 14 developing countries, including Ethiopia, Ghana, India and Peru. Our contribution focuses on supporting the organisation, whether that be reviewing and drafting contracts or providing brand exposure and fundraising opportunities.
