Hamilton Locke is proud to have advised Justin Truong on the purchase of Australian athleisure brand STAX, formerly owned by STAX Pty Ltd (Receivers and Managers Appointed) (In Liquidation), and its associated entities.
Following the appointment of Joseph Hansell and Asjadi Hone of FTI Consulting as receivers and managers of STAX in late June 2026, the receivers commenced an urgent sales process whilst pausing trading of the business given ongoing cash flow concerns. Hamilton Locke advised Mr Truong on the structure of the offer and worked closely with the receivers and their legal counsel Corrs Chambers Westgarth to complete the transaction.
The acquisition allows for the STAX brand to be preserved (acknowledging the strong customer base) and revitalised in the future under its new ownership.
