Hamilton Locke advises Packhorse Pastoral on Sale of “Moolan Downs” and “Ottley Station”

Hamilton Locke has advised Packhorse Pastoral Company (Packhorse) on the sale of its “Moolan Downs” and “Ottley Station” assets.

Launching in May 2021, Packhorse quickly became a recognised leader in soil regeneration and carbon sequestration practices.

It strategically acquired three parcels of premium land spanning a total of 27,124 hectares and established an exceptional foundation for biodiversity above and below the ground, using its ‘grass motel’ agistment model.

The portfolio comprised two southern Queensland properties – the 8,344ha Stuart’s Creek Station, situated 50km north-west of Roma in the Maranoa region; and the 10,029ha Moolan Downs Aggregation, located 200km south-east of Roma in the Western Downs region – along with 8,371ha Ottley Station, situated 50km west of Inverell in northern New South Wales.

The team at Hamilton Locke was led by Chairman of Partners, Brett Heading and Senior Associate, Nick Knowlman and included Lawyer, Maddie Morgan and Paralegal, Henry Mitchell.
