AEMO Services has commenced its inaugural tender process for Long-Term Energy Service Agreements (LTESA’s), to select projects capable of delivering cost effective energy infrastructure to NSW electricity consumers. Projects across NSW are encouraged to apply, including those seeking to connect to existing transmission and distribution infrastructure, or obtain access rights, in a declared Renewable Energy Zone. The tender has an indicative size of 2,500 GWh of annual generation and 600MW of long duration storage.
The Draft Tender Pack was released in July 2022. Parties can now register their interest before the tender opens on 4 October, which will take bids until 5:00PM AEST on 28 October 2022.
