Reilly is a real estate lawyer, primarily acting for investment funds, asset managers, listed real estate groups, and property developers. Reilly has substantial experience working in the sector, with particular experience in the acquisition and disposal of a diverse range of assets, title structuring and subdivisions, projects due diligence, and transactions and complex leasing.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Reilly worked in the Real Estate team at K&L Gates.

Property Acquisitions and Disposals

Represented Real I.S. in its AU$363.5 million divestment of the Geosciences Australia property to funds managed by Charter Hall.
Represented Melbourne-based private investors on the AU$116 million purchase of all of the units in the unit trust that owns a major mixed-use property in Sydney’s inner suburbs, from a fund managed by a leading real estate investment management company.
Represented Real I.S. in its AU$290 million divestment of the ATO Building in Canberra to a Charter Hall managed fund.
Advised an Australian telecommunications company on the divestment of a series of disused telecommunications sites.

Leasing

Acted for a German-based asset manager in relation to the commercial leasing and development of a commercial asset within the Sydney CBD.
Advised a port managing company on its industrial leasing arrangements as landlord of many of New South Wales key trade gateways, including tenants such as a leading international supplier of steel products and solutions for building and construction and one of Australia’s largest integrated providers of import and export logistic services.
