Grania is a property lawyer with significant experience across the entirety of the property landscape. Her work ethic is derived from her devout passion for the law, and she prides herself on providing sound legal advice and delivering practical solutions to clients within tight timeframes.

Her extensive experience comprises of advising corporate and private clients, and public authorities, on the acquisition, disposal, use and development of commercial, retail, industrial and residential property, including under the Unit Titles Act and Public Works Act.

Grania was previously a senior associate at New Zealand firm, Anderson Creagh Lai, which joined Hamilton Locke in January 2023, with the establishment of Hamilton Locke New Zealand.

  • Due diligence on the acquisition of inner city commercial building with substantial book value and extensive lease portfolio.
  • Acting on acquisition of rural land subject to forestry rights and carbon credit assessments.
  • Acting for developers on residential subdivisions and final disposal to Kainga Ora for bulk social housing.
  • Acting on the disposal of vast tracks of land, which is subject to greenfield developments, on sale agreements and transferrable rights.
  • Acting on behalf of landlords to negotiate leasing agreements with major government departments and institutional banks.
  • Acting for a central Auckland licensor on licence arrangements for telecommunications facilities and transmitters.
