Hamilton Locke bolsters its corporate team with the appointment of new partner, Jo Ruitenberg to the firms Sydney office, bringing our total number of partners to 26.
Jo joins from King & Wood Mallesons and specialises in M&A and joint ventures with specific expertise advising clients on trade sales, dual tracks, ASX listings and takeover strategies. Jo has navigated several multi-jurisdictional transactions and works to ensure all parties are satisfied with the outcome. She also has extensive experience helping boards navigate regulatory environments, corporate governance and disclosure obligations for listed companies.
Jo has extensive expertise working with clients across a range of industry sectors including financial services, industrials and healthcare. She has previously worked in Hong Kong, where she enhanced her international capability helping clients implement their acquisition and divestment strategies in the Asian market and advised on listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

This appointment comes as Hamilton Locke’s holding company, Halo Group Holdings recently announced its acquisition of leading regulatory and compliance firm, The Fold Legal. Halo Group is also the holding company of Emerson CoSec, Source and MacMillan Trade Marks. Hamilton Locke now has 71 staff firmwide, and Halo Group has grown to 140 staff groupwide.
