Hamilton Locke supports KordaMentha on the restructure and sale to Genus Plus Group

Hamilton Locke is delighted to have supported Sebastian Hams and Andrew Knight of KordaMentha in their capacity as administrators of CommTel Network Solutions on the successful restructuring and sale to ASX-listed Genus Plus Group via a deed of company arrangement.

The transaction was approved by creditors on 7 October 2024, was executed on 18 October and effectuated shortly after on 22 October, securing a positive outcome that positions CommTel for future growth and stability, preserved employment for the majority of staff and continued service to key customers. Led by Partners Andrew Vincent and Nick Edwards, with support from Special Counsel Kassandra Adams, Lawyer Joanna Jiawei Wang, and Lawyer Mianna Chan, our team provided strategic legal support throughout the process. We’d like to thank KordaMentha for their instructions in this matter and congratulations to Genus Plus Group on successfully completing the acquisition. We’d also like to thank Mick Calder of Sunnymead Advisory for his critical inputs to the restructuring at the early stages of this transaction.
