Hamilton Locke is delighted to announce that our Head of Finance and Partner, Zina Edwards, has been appointed as the 2023 Vice President of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) in Australia.
TMA Australia is the professional industry body representing the corporate turnaround community and is focused on promoting the benefits the turnaround industry offers the local economy while facilitating a deeper understanding of the restructuring market.
In doing so, it leverages the skill and experience of leaders in turnaround and restructuring, constituting its Board and members. The TMA Australia Board consists of highly regarded leaders who are significantly connected to the turnaround industry and who dedicate a considerable amount of time to the TMA and its members.
This appointment recognises Zina’s work in turnaround and restructuring and her ongoing contribution to the TMA and the turnaround industry.
Zina is the Head of Finance at Hamilton Locke and part of Hamilton Locke’s restructuring team. Her practice focuses on the growing alternative lending market in Australia and she regularly acts for numerous onshore and offshore credit funds, asset managers and other non-bank lenders in relation to investments in complex structured finance and hybrid transactions, secondary trades, restructuring and special situations. Zina has been ranked as a leading individual in Restructuring and Insolvency by Chambers Asia Pacific and ranked as a recommended Lawyer for Restructuring and Insolvency in Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guide. She has also been recognised as a notable practitioner in ILFR1000 for Restructuring and Insolvency and was recently named a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in the category ‘Banking and Finance Partner of the Year’ and as one of Australasian Lawyer’s ‘Elite Women of 2022’.
