Takahiro is a corporate lawyer with experience advising clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and technology, crisis management and litigation. He has experience assisting clients with domestic and cross-border transactions, including legal due diligence, transaction documentation and general corporate advisory matters.

Takahiro takes a practical and commercially focused approach to his work. He enjoys working closely with clients to understand their businesses and objectives and strives to provide clear and pragmatic advice that helps them navigate complex legal issues and achieve their commercial goals.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Takahiro worked at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, one of Japan’s leading law firms, where he advised clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, IP and technology matters, crisis management and litigation.

  • Advised Japanese and international clients on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring and transaction documentation.
  • Advised clients on intellectual property and technology matters in connection with corporate transactions, including intellectual property due diligence.
  • Advised Japanese companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance and general corporate advisory matters.
  • Advised clients on business combinations and other regulatory aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Gained in-house experience through a secondment to the legal department of a major Japanese railway company, advising business teams and group companies on a broad range of legal and commercial matters.
