Raeesa is an experienced lawyer in the New Energy team with a background in commercial real estate gained across three top tier Australian law firms. Alongside her established property practice, she is expanding into projects matters and developing her capability in projects law, with a view to becoming both a property and a projects lawyer. She is currently operating in the renewable energy sector and gaining exposure to the legal and commercial frameworks that support large-scale energy projects.
Raeesa has significant experience in capital transactions, major leasing, property development and general real estate advisory matters across a variety of sectors including government, healthcare, renewable energy, retail, industrial and offices. She continues to draw on this foundation while broadening her work into project documentation and project delivery within the renewable energy sector.
She enjoys working in an intellectually stimulating, people-focussed environment and places strong importance on building trusted, long-term client relationships. Raeesa applies critical and analytical thinking to her matters, delivering commercially viable and forwarding looking solutions.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Raeesa worked in the property and real estate teams at MinterEllison, Allens and Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Brisbane.
