Over 19 years of legal practice, Liesl has become a specialist corporate and commercial lawyer with a particular interest in transactional law, both cross border and domestic. She has extensive experience in unregulated mergers and acquisitions, business and asset sale and purchase transactions, private equity buy-ins, corporate restructures and primary and secondary equity capital raisings. Liesl enjoys the challenge and pace of front-end commercial transactions and is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to successful business transformation.
In addition to and complementary to her transactional experience, Liesl has extensive experience advising on Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule compliance, directors’ duties, continuous disclosure, company meetings, corporate governance, due diligence investigations and commercial drafting and negotiation.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Liesl was General Counsel and Joint Company Secretary for ASX-listed Resonance Health Ltd and worked in private practice for firms including HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, Lavan and Freehills.
