Hamilton Locke acted for Moelis Australia on the senior secured financing, comprising a cash advance term facility and a revolving facility, raised to fund the acquisition of the real estate freehold and operating business of the Courthouse and Kinselas Hotels.
The development of the two adjoining properties will create a hospitality precinct at Taylor Square with a view to revitalise Sydney’s nightlife and growing creative industries.
Commenting on the transaction, Zina Edwards said: “It was a pleasure working with the Moelis team on a transaction involving the revival of these quality assets”.
The team at Hamilton Locke was led by partner Zina Edwards and assisted by special counsel Lauren Cloete and lawyer Alex McCullagh.
