Tom’s meticulous approach to protective practices ensures that clients’ brands are not only secure but also positioned for recognition and growth.
Tom offers expansive expertise in intellectual property, with over 20 years of experience specialising in trade mark law. Focused on the creation and implementation of brand protection strategies, he guides clients through the intricacies of trade mark registration, infringement advice, and managing contentious matters before national and international IP offices. Tom has worked with numerous public and private clients across several sectors and can assist with IP work in any industry.
Tom is an elected fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys Australia (IPTA), a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ), the International Trade Mark Association (INTA), and is a Registered Trade Marks Attorney, recognised in Australia and New Zealand.
Tom is also the Executive Director of the IP team at Source, our allied business providing in-house style expertise across IP, legal, HR, compliance and governance services.
Prior to this, he was the Managing Director at MacMillan Trade Marks, a company he established in 2007 after working for a number of large IP specialist and multinational law firms.
