Naeha Lal

Special Counsel

Naeha Lal is a corporate tax lawyer with more than 10 years’ experience advising corporations, investment funds, listed companies and family offices on a broad range of complex taxation matters. She advises on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, corporate structuring and reorganisations, and tax controversy matters across a range of jurisdictions.

Naeha is recognised for delivering commercially focused, practical advice that supports clients through significant transactions and contentious tax issues.  In addition to her corporate tax practice, Naeha has extensive experience advising not-for-profit organisations on tax-efficient structures, charitable registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), deductible gift recipient endorsement by the Australian Taxation Office, and ongoing regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Naeha practised at K&L Gates in Sydney, where she also completed a 12-month secondment to the firm’s London office, gaining experience in UK corporate and real estate taxation. She also has gained prior experience across both the Big Four and private practice, giving her a broad commercial and technical tax background.
