Renowned for his work in intergenerational asset protection, family agribusiness structuring, succession arrangements and family provision claims, Jamie assists his clients to secure family wealth across lifetimes and generations.

Jamie’s meticulous drafting skills cover an array of essential estate planning documents, including testamentary trust wills and special disability trusts, powers of attorney and other directives. This enables Jamie to implement complex objectives for his clients, and to devise creative, novel and custom solutions that ensure his clients’ wishes are upheld.

Jamie is highly experienced in all areas of probate and estate administration. He assists clients to navigate complex asset structures, comply with underlying family governance arrangements, and resolve and manage family acrimony and disputes involving family provision, beneficiary claims, and trustee and will challenges. Jamie provides invaluable support to executors, trustees and beneficiaries, translating legal complexities into actionable insights.

  • Advising HNW and UHNW clients, family groups and agribusinesses on estate planning and succession matters involving complex landholding and asset structures to achieve effective asset protection, tax planning and business transition, and secure intergenerational wealth.
  • Reviewing and simplifying the estate planning for key members of a multi-billion dollar family group.
  • Providing cross-jurisdictional tax, asset protection and estate planning advice to clients with assets and beneficiaries in Thailand, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, the United States, France and Africa.
  • Establishing protective testamentary trusts for at-risk beneficiaries, taking long term care, accommodation and parental wishes into account.
  • Establishing capital-controlled testamentary trusts (including restrictions on the disposal of capital, quarantining income on capital gains, mandating investment and advising on trust elections) to preserve intergenerational wealth.
