Feras Hamdan

Lawyer

Feras is a Lawyer in the Energy, Resources, Construction and Infrastructure team with a technical focus in litigation and dispute resolution.

Feras is experienced in advising on disputes arising from the Security of Payment legislation across all Australian states and territories and acting for entities in complex adjudications, arbitrations, and other forms of dispute resolution employed in construction industry.

His expertise spans many industry sectors where he has acted in significant building defect claims, major project LNG and infrastructure disputes, and for telecommunication service providers in respect to ACCC regulatory and compliance issues.

Feras holds a commercial understanding of the construction industry whereby he strives to achieve negotiable outcomes to limit costs and resulting delays once a dispute arises. He does this by taking a hands-on approach to achieve favourable outcomes for clients and to best understand the commercial objectives to mitigate the impact of litigation.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Feras worked at Piper Alderman and Squire Patton Boggs, where he had acted for national and international clients in construction and commercial disputes, in courts, tribunals, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
