Hamilton Locke has featured in The Australian as a top 30 law firm in the publication’s latest Legal Partnership Survey. The Australian conducts a bi-annual review of the Australian legal sector and features top firms in its Legal Partnership Survey.

The Australian referenced “The excitement in Perth is partly explained by the activities of fast-growing Hamilton Locke, which launched its office there in February with equity capital markets and M&A practitioners Shaun Hardcastle, Deanna Carpenter, Jeremy Newman and Michael Boyce (also a specialist in mining and resources). All came from HWL Ebsworth, as did litigation partner Chris Hood, appointed in April. Other hires included Tricia Moloney in Melbourne, Brett Heading and Trent Thorne (from McCullough Robertson) in Brisbane, where it also opened an office; and in Sydney, Grant Parker, Margot King and Erik Setio”.

- #4 out of the top 30 domestic firms in terms of 6-month partnership growth, and #22 out of the top 30 by number of partners
- #6 out of the top 50 law firms in Australia in relation to 6-month growth, and #33 out of the top 50 in terms of number of partners
- #38 out of the top 50 in terms of number of fee-earners
- #33 out of the top 50 in terms of number of graduates.
