Hamilton Locke is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Dixon as its Executive Director, Growth and Strategy

Peter is an experienced senior executive having worked as an investment banker and corporate lawyer at major Australian firms including Mallesons Stephen Jacques (now King & Wood Mallesons), Macquarie Group Limited and Moelis Australia Limited.  Peter was most recently Group General Counsel of Moelis Australia Limited, where he was a senior member of the executive leadership team.  Prior to his role as General Counsel, Peter co-led the Emerging Companies investment banking team at Moelis Australia where he advised high growth companies on mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets and strategic corporate transactions.  He is currently a non-executive director at Johns Lyng Group Limited.
Hamilton Locke’s Managing Partner, Nick Humphrey, said, “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the senior management team at the firm. His appointment is an important step for us, bringing valuable new perspectives and experience gathered from his senior roles in investment banking over the last 20 years”.
Peter is an executive director, leading our growth strategy as we continue to expand the firm through strategic mergers, not just with other law firms but also deepening our allied business offering in outsourced general counsel and company secretarial services.  As an experienced corporate lawyer and corporate advisor, he brings valuable insights into the capital markets, as well as timely leadership insights in the current complex and uncertain economic environment.
Peter said, “I am excited to be joining the team at Hamilton Locke and look forward to continuing to build on its impressive track record of growth and exceptional client service.  Notwithstanding the unprecedented situation we find ourselves in, the firm, through its significant expertise in restructuring, distressed M&A and litigation, is well placed to continue to support its clients during this difficult time.”
