Hamilton Locke Launches Workplace and Employment Practice with Appointment of New Partner

We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Simpson to bolster the firm with workplace and employment expertise, bringing the total number of partners in the firm to 19. This month the firm also appointed two other lateral partners, including construction and infrastructure specialist, Veno Panicker, as well as commercial litigator, Ly Hoang.

James Simpson joins Hamilton Locke in Sydney to establish and lead the workplace and employment practice. His experience spans across advisory and litigation in employment and labour law. This includes employment law, industrial relations, discrimination, and work health and safety. James joins from KPMG where he led the workplace and employment law group. Prior to joining KPMG, James was a partner of Arnold Bloch Leibler and head of its workplace advisory group. He was also a member of the employment and industrial law group at Clayton Utz.

We are delighted to build on our existing capabilities with the addition of James and the workplace and employment practice, providing further access to legal and industry experts, focused on solving complex problems.

This is an exciting time for the firm, as we recently launched our holding company, Halo Group Holdings, which is the holding company of Hamilton Locke, Emerson CoSec and Source. We look forward to continuing this trajectory as we continue to work to evolve the corporate services landscape.
