Halo Group Holdings Pty Ltd (Halo Group), the holding company of Hamilton Locke, has acquired 50% of Source Legal Pty Ltd (Source). The acquisition brings Source alongside Hamilton Locke to create a formidable new entity in the market, reflecting the ongoing evolution of the legal industry towards agility and alternative delivery models.
Source is a preeminent legal provider, uniquely acting as an outsourced legal department, whilst also offering HR and CFO services to support clients’ commercial needs. Hamilton Locke was established as an agile platform focused on transforming the traditional approach to providing corporate legal services. The two firms together have an extensive range of expertise, and service a wide array and deep bench of clients.
Both firms operate distinctive business models, with a values-based approach and innovation at the core. Hamilton Locke assists clients to navigate complex transactions and disputes, and Source services the business-as-usual commercial needs of clients on an agreed monthly retainer price basis.

Halo Group is the holding company of Hamilton Locke, as well as specialist company secretarial and governance platform, Emerson CoSec. The acquisition increases the total staff numbers across the Halo Group to 70 lawyers, contractors and staff.
