Rachel is an experienced corporate lawyer with expertise that encompasses a wide array of areas including M&A, restructuring, capital raisings, inter-group funding arrangements, private equity investments and transactions, joint ventures, employee share ownership plans, corporate governance and corporate advisory.

Her experience spans many industry sectors including medical, IT, logistics, property, banking and finance and engineering.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Rachel worked in the Corporate Advisory team at a national law firm. She also previously worked as an Australia-New Zealand Legal Counsel at a global pharmaceutical company and as a Senior Legal Counsel at ASB Bank Limited (being wholly owned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia).

  • Acting for a global pharmaceutical company on its marketing campaigns in New Zealand and Australia, clinical data collection with major Australian hospitals, privacy compliance, distribution and procurement.
  • Advising Toku Eyes on all aspects of its seed round and cross border commercial arrangements.
  • Advising various investors on their series rounds and funding structure.
  • Advising industry bodies on their engagement with regulators including the Financial Market Authority and the Overseas Investment Office.
