Pravneel advises clients on all aspects of commercial litigation and insolvency. Working with individuals, SMEs and large corporates, he provides tailored advice to help clients achieve their best possible outcomes.
Pravneel regularly works with insolvency practitioners and clients facing their own cashflow challenges. Pravneel has advised on voidable transactions, insolvent trading and deeds of company arrangement pursuant to the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), as well as personal insolvencies under the Bankruptcy Act 1966 (Cth).
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Pravneel worked at Thynne + Macartney.

- Assisting owners and the body corporate of a large residential apartment building in a claim for over $20m for recovery of repair costs of defective building materials resulting in a successful outcome via pre-trial mediation.
- Acting for an agent of a large international supplier of dental products in a claim by the agent for unpaid commissions of over $10m resulting in a successful outcome post-mediation.
- Acting for an investor to recover funds paid for projects which had failed and had no prospect of completing involving recoveries of over $320,000 prior to the need to commence proceedings.
- Acting for a major landlord to recover make-good costs and loss of rent in excess of $1.2m after a major tenant vacated the shopping centre.
- Acting for a major supporting creditor in a successful contested substitution application resulting in the winding up of a boat-builder.
- Acting for liquidators in prosecuting claims for voidable transactions, dealing with company assets and competing claims by creditors to possession, requests for information under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and the Insolvency Practice Schedule.
- Acting for a liquidator of a financial advisory business to investigate potential recoveries for voidable transactions.
