Michael’s impressive career began as an entertainment lawyer, which grew into advising on broader intellectual property applications of media and technology.
Michael’s expertise focuses on technology, media and communications, specialising in intellectual property and corporate and commercial law. He has a particular specialty in drafting and negotiating contracts for the design, implementation, integration and supply of technology systems, platforms and services.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Michael worked with firms including Clayton Utz and HWL Ebsworth. He has also contracted as counsel to Cisco Systems Australia and Cognizant. Michael founded boutique law firm, Montgomery Lawyers, specialising in intellectual property, information technology, telecommunications, and corporate and commercial law.
