Kate is a legal practitioner with a unique background and journey to becoming a lawyer, which includes relocating internationally to ultimately pursue a legal career in Australia.
Kate has significant experience working in legal practice in Ireland, which includes working as an interpreter for various institutions such as the courts, tribunals, and gardai.
Upon relocating to Australia, Kate undertook legal studies with a view to practice the law. She worked as a project and operations manager in various software companies whilst studying, and frequently engaged with lawyers on matters such as contract drafting and negotiation, thus fuelling her desire to begin her own legal career.
Kate is deeply interested in International Law, Commercial Contracting, Corporate Governance, Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She is especially interested in Digital Law and intends to pursue further education in this field.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Kate worked for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia. Kate has also worked as a Company Secretary and Operations Coordinator within compliance. Prior to her work in the legal industry, Kate was a Software Project Manager and also ran her own Software Development Company in Ireland.
