Justin has almost 25 years professional practice experience in funds and financial services industries in Europe and Asia Pacific. Justin is particularly skilled at identifying and addressing relevant risks and finding practical commercial solutions to complex legal requirements.

His practice experience includes funds and trust structuring and investment; fund raising; joint ventures and co-investment arrangements; mergers and acquisitions; reorganisations and restructures; and debt capital markets. He also focuses on property funds, across a range of segments including commercial, industrial, logistics and hospitality.

Justin has a strong combination of accounting, tax and legal qualifications and experience gained at top tier global firms and in house at an ASX listed intermediary, including Baker & McKenzie, Withers, Aon Risk Solutions, Simmons & Simmons and PwC.

  • Acted for Miles Corporate Advisory, V8 Team Owners and Sports & Entertainment Limited on the sale to Archer Capital of a 65% interest in the V8 Supercars Australia trust and corporate group.
  • Acted for the Indigenous Land Corporation on the $300 million plus purchase of Ayers Rock Resort (over 1000 rooms in five hotels) and related airport facilities from the GPT Voyages Group.
  • Advised Goodman Group on the $1 billion capital raising and stapling of units by the Goodman Australia Industrial Fund.
  • Advised Goodman Group on the $750 million restructure of the Goodman Industrial Trust.
  • Acted for Parissen Capital on the trusteeship role and execution of a restructure and sell down of the Ashington Group of property trusts (which included the former Double Bay Ritz Carlton Hotel, now the InterContinental Double Bay).
  • Acted for Marriott/Starwood on the disposal of the resort assets comprising the Sheraton and the Westin resorts and Denarau Golf Course in Denarau Island, Fiji to Fiji National Provident Fund.
