Daniel is a Perth-based corporate, commercial and securities lawyer who approaches his work in a disciplined, structured and regimented way, relying on tried and true legal principles combined in innovative ways to produce bespoke legal solutions in the best interests of the clients he represents.

Daniel‘s work spans equity capital markets transactions, public and private acquisitions and divestments (both cross-border and domestic), farm-in and joint ventures, corporate restructuring and corporate governance. Daniel primarily acts for businesses in the mining and resources, technology (including medtech) and professional services (including SaaS) industries, however, he also regularly assists businesses in the mining services, food & beverage and medicinal cannabis industries.

In addition to advising businesses on compliance with the ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act, Daniel provides general corporate and commercial advice and assists businesses in formulating subscription and shareholders’ agreements, undertaking seed capital raisings and preparing and negotiating general service and supply agreements.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Daniel worked for national law firms HWL Ebsworth (Perth) and Piper Alderman (Brisbane) having commenced his legal career at a boutique law firm located in his hometown of the Gold Coast.

  • Acted for Revolver Resources Limited (ASX:RRR) on its $12.7 million IPO capital raising and top-hat restructuring.
  • Acted for Kopore Metals Limited (ASX:KMT) on its disposal of Kopore's 75% interest in Virgo Project in Botswana to AIM-listed ARC Minerals Limited and shareholders agreement and royalty agreement.
  • Acted for Parabellum Resources Limited (ASX:PBL) on its acquisition of the Redlands/Whitbarrow, Recovery and Lunns Dam copper and gold projects through the acquisition of all of the issued capital in Lachlan Minerals Pty Ltd and $6 million IPO capital raising.
  • Acted for Aurumin Limited (ASX:AUN) in its $12.5 million capital raising comprising an institutional placement, convertible note and $5 million, 1-4 non-renounceable entitlement offer and $12 million acquisition of Sandstone Gold Project from Middle Island Resources (ASX: MDI).
  • Acted for Cirrus Networks Holdings Limited (ASX:CNW) on its successful takeover defence of unsolicited hostile market bid from Webcentral Group Limited (ASX:WCG) and successful defence of shareholder requisition pursuant to s 249D, Corporations Act.
