Michael is a lawyer in the corporate and tax teams, with experience advising on a wide range of commercial transactions and tax matters. He assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, due diligence, and tax advisory issues, with particular expertise on the operation of Australia’s general anti-avoidance framework and employee share schemes.
Michael takes a forward-focused and commercial approach to his work, combining technical excellence with strategic insight. Michael excels at helping clients identify potential risks and opportunities early, ensuring his advice aligns with long-term commercial objectives and business goals.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Michael worked at King & Wood Mallesons and Clayton Utz. Michael also has in-house experience in insurance underwriting from a secondment at Fusion Specialty.
