Amy is an experienced lawyer who provides advice to clients on all aspects of employment law and industrial relations.  Amy has extensive experience in advising on executive contracts, workplace disputes, redundancies, restructures and payroll compliance.  Amy assists her clients with a sensitive and professional approach to conducting workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct or bullying, as well as whistleblower complaints.  She is passionate about providing support to clients on complex workplace issues and delivering training to Boards and Executives on their legal obligations.

Amy has worked for clients in a broad range of industries including health care, transport and logistics, oil and gas, mining and higher education.

Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Amy worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and as an in-house lawyer at St John of God Health Care.  She has also gained experienced with secondments at Ramsay Health Care and the Australian Human Rights Commission.  Prior to becoming a lawyer, Amy worked in the construction industry in project management.

  • Assisting with the negotiation and drafting of various enterprise agreements for a large national health care provider.
  • Assisting with various unfair dismissal claims and general protection claims before the Fair Work Commission.
  • Assisting with advising a statutory authority on a disability discrimination claim brought to the Australian Human Rights Commission.
  • Delivering executive-level training on work health and safety obligations, sex discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Conducting a workplace investigation into allegations of professional misconduct for a university.
  • Conducting a whistleblower investigation into discrimination allegations for a utilities provider.
