Overall Criteria
Chairman’s Award
The Chairman’s Award will be awarded to the applicant that has demonstrated overall exceptional resilience in the face of COVID-19. Applications submitted to all other award categories will be assessed to determine the winner of this category. 

Growth Company of the Year and Industry Growth Company of the Year categories
  • Must be at least 50% Australian owned company or be listed in Australia or have significant operations in Australia.
  • Have been in business for more than two years.
  • Demonstrate a usual turnover or market share in the range of $15 million to $500 million (please note the Technology category has a usual minimum of $5 million). Turnover over the past two years will be considered, given the extenuating circumstances with COVID-19.
Women in Leadership
  • Must be an Australian citizen or resident.
  • Have been working in your field for more than two years.
  • Be involved (CEO/C-suite/Exec director or equivalent position) in a company with a usual turnover or market share in the range of $15 million to $500 million. Turnover / market share over the past two years will be considered, given the extenuating circumstances with COVID-19.
IPO of the Year Award
  • Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
  • Listed within FY20.
Private Equity Deal of the Year Award
  • Involve an Australian company.
  • Closed in FY20.
  • Be valued in the mid-market range of $15 million to $500 million.
Turnaround Deal of the Year
  • A group who has implemented a financial, management, strategic or operational program to drive the recovery of a distressed business
  • Involve one or more Australian companies.
  • Demonstrate a usual turnover or market share in the mid-market range of $15 million to $500 million. Turnover over the past two years will be considered, given the extenuating circumstances with COVID-19.
Company to Watch
  • Be an Australian company.
  • Have been in business for more than two years.
  • Demonstrate a usual turnover or market share of over $5 million. Turnover over the past two years will be considered, given the extenuating circumstances with COVID-19.
Sustainability and Cleantech Award
  • Be an Australian business that operates within the sustainability and cleantech sector.
  • Have been in business for more than two years.
  • Demonstrate a usual turnover or market share of over $5 million. Turnover over the past two years will be considered, given the extenuating circumstances with COVID-19.
